Drumfeeder®

Description

The drumfeeder is a bunker belt with a moving bed. The belt is trough-shaped with high side walls to ensure that it can hold the recyclables well. The moving bed is a kind of conveyor belt that moves the material upstream. The bunker belt ends in a rotating drum. The drum ensures a continuous and even flow into the subsequent system. The drum is fitted with metal strips that open up boxes, packs and such.

Benefits

Sorting installations are most profitable when the sorting process is maximised. A continuous input is a major factor in this. The drumfeeder provides optimised feeding and also ensures that the drumfeeder does not have to be filled by a bulldozer continuously, but only when it is empty.
 

Advantages

• By using the bunker belt with drum, the feeding to the sorting system will be prepared, which means that the operator has more time for other duties. Depending of the size and filling, the bunker can be loaded several times per hour;
• A constant material flow to the sorting system improves the quality of the sorting process and the sorting capacity;
• The Drumfeeder will open and flat any large boxes present;
• At low to high filling, large pieces of cardboard will be broken down to smaller pieces;
• The Drumfeeder is of a solid construction and therefore suitable for use in an industrial environnement. It can also be installed into existing installations.
