Old Corrugated Cardboard screen
The OCC (Old Corrugated Cardboard) star screen is perfectly suited to separate large cardboard from the material flow. The over fraction is large cardboard. Paper, small cardboard and small material will be screened off. This particular screen is placed at the beginning of a sorting installation to separate large cardboard, making manual separation of large cardboard redundant.
Lubo OCC StarScreen
The OCC screening deck consists of various axles, on which rubber stars are mounted. The stars have a diameter of 660 mm. The screening size can be determined by means of the size of the stars, the interval between the stars and the rotation speed. This is approximately the size of a sheet of A3. The feed of the OCC screen has a double setting of stars. On feeding the material, this prevents material with a medium size falling through the screening deck.
The star screen has an inspection door with an electric safety switch. The screen’s drive is made of high quality materials. Standard, the Lubo star screen is driven by SEW motor reductors. The adjacent star axles will be driven by means of chains and gear wheels. The speed of the screening deck is variable due to the use of frequency transformers. The screen size can be set by adjusting the speed. The screen uses the difference in size and rigidity of the material. The cardboard is hit over the screen by the stars and the paper slides between the stars.
