We are looking for a Facility Employee to expand the facilities team.

Location: Appingedam, NL

What will be your role?

You will work closely with the Facility Manager to ensure the day-to-day management and maintenance of the facilities within the organisation in Appingedam and to ensure a safe, clean and efficient working environment for all colleagues.

Your main activities:

  • Administrative tasks: You will be responsible for managing the administration and documentation related to facility services, expenses, maintenance and contracts, in close collaboration with the Purchasing department. You handle quotations together with the Facility Manager and the Purchasing department, and provide support in drawing up reports and budgets.
  • Communication and collaboration: You are the point of contact for facility questions and problems of all colleagues, work together with other departments and the Facility Manager.
  • Day-to-day management and maintenance: You plan and coordinate daily maintenance and facility projects, collaborate with internal and external parties, identify problems and come up with improvements. You manage the facility stock and coordinate internal relocations or other facility activities.
  • Safety and compliance: You will ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintain safety documentation, contribute to the preparation and implementation of emergency plans, report safety issues, and organize inspections of equipment or other solutions to ensure a safe working environment.

What do you bring?

  • Relevant completed education at middle or higher educational level in the direction of Facility Management or similar.
  • Experience in a production environment is an advantage (starters on the job market are encouraged to apply).
  • Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • You are enterprising, communicative, organizationally sensitive, and you are excellent at planning and organizing. Based on your expertise, you always strive for the best advice and results.
