Tactical Buyer After Sales

We are looking for a Tactical Purchaser to expand the purchasing team.
Location: Appingedam (the Netherlands)
What will be your role?
Our Procurement Department focuses on tactical, project-based, and operational procurement activities. As a Tactical Buyer After Sales, you supervise procurement processes and you are the business partner for our After Sales business unit in the field of purchasing.
In the role, you will be involved in spare part management, among other things, in order to provide our customers with the best possible service. You will be involved in concluding agreements with subcontractors for mainly business international outsourcing of activities. In addition, you will work closely with fellow Tactical Buyers to contribute to the further growth of the After Sales field within the organization and purchasing.
Your main activities:
- As a Tactical Buyer, you supervise the procurement processes for spare parts for after-sales service. This includes keeping the procurement process running smoothly and selecting the right suppliers. You are also responsible for the purchase of (non-standard) products.
- In addition, you will make an inventory of the internal needs per category, including current suppliers, existing contracts, purchase volumes, and cost prices.
- You understand the purchasing needs of the After Sales department and translate them into effective purchasing strategies. You negotiate favorable purchasing conditions and long-term price agreements with suppliers.
- You will be responsible for managing contracts and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers, following up on the contractual agreements.

You work in a process-oriented way and know how to ensure, in close collaboration with stakeholders, that the results contribute to the objectives as much as possible. You are able to build a good relationship with suppliers, bind them to you, and further develop the relationship. You also dare to take initiative, you stand firmly during negotiations and you convince others.
What do you bring?
- A relevant completed higher education, supplemented with NEVI 1 or equivalent is an advantage.
- You have at least 5 years of work experience in a similar position in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience or affinity with technological products or after-sales projects is a must.
- You are result-oriented, driven, committed, and proactive. You are able to establish and maintain contacts at various levels, are a relationship builder, see opportunities and developments, and know how to use them.
