Bollegraaf, a leading provider of recycling and waste processing solutions, is looking for a Site Manager Installation & Commissioning to expand the team.

Location: Appingedam, NL

What will be your role?

In this role, you will work closely with the project team and the customer to ensure that installation and commissioning go smoothly and that the final installation is delivered to our customers fully operational and tested. You will be on-site a lot with our international customers, playing a crucial role in the success of our projects.

Travel requirements:

  • For this role, you will travel worldwide for installation and commissioning work.
  • You will travel regularly (approximately 1 to 5 weeks per trip) and this includes destinations such as the Americas, Africa, and various places in Europe.

Your main activities

Preparation, planning, execution, and reporting:

  • Preparing and planning installation and commissioning activities.
  • Managing the entire on-site installation and commissioning activities.
  • Perform commissioning and performance tests according to prescribed documentation.
  • Provide customer training and instruction based on predetermined documentation.
  • Discuss and prepare the final report for handover.
  • Managing punch list.
  • Preparation of client/project-specific HSE plan to have clear guidelines and safety rules during all site operations.

Managing installation team:

  • Managing the installation team with the aim of ensuring safe and timely installation.
  • Testing and adjusting our installations.
  • Carrying out performance test and in cooperation with the project manager and customer drafting acquisition protocol.
  • Instructing and training the customer’s technical staff and operators in the maintenance and operation of the installations.  

Who are you?

  • You are a connecting person who dares to address and draw the attention of the internal organization.
  • You also have the ability to keep an overview of the dynamics of the day.
  • Furthermore, you are communicative, proactive, and customer-oriented, you think in terms of opportunities and solutions, and you are stress-resistant.
  • You are capable of managing multidisciplinary teams.

What do you bring?

  • You a have higher education working and thinking level.
  • You have technical knowledge of large mechanical installations and are a problem solver at heart.
  • Possession of VCA-VOL and NEN 3140 VP/VOP, is a plus.
  • You speak English and preferably Dutch. A third language, such as German and/or French, is a plus.
  • You have work experience in a similar technical position. If you have experience offshore, as a (field) service technician or in a managerial role, that would be a nice addition.
